Teddi Mellencamp breaks her silence on the rumours that she had an affair

On November 2, Teddi Mellencamp took to her instagram account to announce that she was filing for divorce from her husband of thirteen years, Edwin Arroyave. Shortly after, rumours started swirling regarding the cause of the breakup of their marriage. Yesterday, the Daily Mail reported that Teddi had been having a months long affair with her married horse trainer, Simon Schroeder. The Daily Mail reported that Teddi and Simon were in Florida together while Schroeder’s wife Karli was giving birth to their second child in California.

Teddi gave a statement regarding the affair rumours today on her podcast, Two T’s In A Pod. Teddi said “there is multiple sides to every story, I am not going to confirm or deny anything, but there is many people involved and I once again say the same statement I said before, the kids, they are the priority, and so for the time being, that’s all I am going to discuss on this.” Her cohost Tamra Judge said she is there for her if she wants to talk about it in depth or as a friend. Tamra said its all in the timing and at a certain point Teddi will be open and honest and talk about what she can talk about, and that there are things that need to be kept private at the moment because the divorce is ongoing. Teddi mentions that small kids are involved and she doesn’t want to throw anyone under the bus, and that there is so much that she isn’t ready to process, talk about or involve the kids in. Teddi stated that she’s sure with time there will be more conversation.

Teddi said in every situation there is someone who is vocal and someone who is not, but she knows other people’s lives are involved and she has to take a beat. She will continue to show up for work on the podcast and not discuss the drama in her personal life for the time being.
