The Valley’s Brittany Cartwright responds to Jax Taylor’s Hot Mic podcast claims

The Valley’s Brittany Cartwright took to her podcast “When Reality Hits” today to give a response to some of Jax’s claims on the Hot Mic podcast, which dropped November 14. Brittany said that Jax portraying himself as in therapy since leaving rehab is a complete lie, and she says “he has not been one time.” She called out his “victim blaming”, and says she is hurting himself, her and their son by not taking accountability. Brittany stated that everything will be covered in the upcoming season of The Valley (no release date as of now, but early 2025 sometime).

Brittany said she does her best with coparenting but that Jax doesn’t make it easy. She said “it took me years to find the strength to walk away from that (abusive relationship)”, and that she wants to share her story to inspire other women to leave similar situations. Brittany said when Jax was in rehab he would constantly alternate between love bombing and rage texting her. She ended up blocking him when he had two weeks left in the facility, to stop the rage texts. This is different than Jax’s claims on Hot Mic that he stopped rage texting Brittany of his own volition, because he realized it was wrong.

Another false claim that Jax made on Hot Mic that Brittany wanted to dispute was that she had been texting Jax asking to “hook up”. She says it was actually him that was doing that, although she did have a weak moment one time where she almost agreed to it, but ultimately it didn’t happen. She said the Hot Mic podcasts were recorded over a month ago, and that it hadn’t happened recently. Brittany said its okay to have weak moments sometimes when you love someone for so long, and its hard to cut off abruptly.

Brittany said she will address Jax’s claims that he initiated the divorce at her live podcast show in New York City December 2, but she could barely contain her laughter when recalling that Jax claimed that. While they didn’t give any dates for the premiere of season two of The Valley, Brittany and her cohost, fellow The Valley star Zack Wickham, did say that they recently shot opening titles, which means the trailer should be dropping imminently!
