Love Is Blind’s Marissa George shares that she has an autoimmune disease

Love Is Blind season seven star Marissa George took to her Tik Tok account yesterday to fill viewers in on some of the missing context from the most recent episode drop. Episode ten saw Marissa and her fiancé Ramses having an argument over his concerns that their sex life was already dwindling. Marissa blamed it on PMS, and a severe vitamin D deficiency, coupled with a long commute between work and filming for the show. Many viewers have been outraged at Ramses apparent lack of understanding regarding women’s issues such as birth control, and this argument did not help to diminish those concerns whatsoever. Marissa now goes into more detail about why she wasn’t feeling well that day.

In her Tik Tok video, Marissa shares that she suffers from Rheumatoid Arthritis, and that she was experiencing a flare up during this day of filming. Marissa says that she has had it for a few years and takes medication for it. She describes that she had low energy, exhaustion and her body was aching, on top of being in her last year of law school and planning a wedding. To top it off, she was in fact also dealing with PMS. Marissa doesn’t mention whether or not Ramses was aware of the fact that she has an autoimmune disease but one can assume that she would have shared that information with her fiancé. Marissa and Ramses have been diving into some deep and important issues on camera, including politics, the military, and of course, birth control. While it can’t be easy to open up about these things with the world watching, the discourse they have provided to the love is blind community is invaluable. We still do not know how Marissa and Ramses’ story will end, but we find out very soon! The next episode drop, the “wedding episode” hits Netflix on October 23.
