Love Is Blind’s Brittany and Leo reveal what happened on their Miami trip

Viewers watched Brittany Wisniewski and Leo Braudy get engaged after a dramatic courtship in the pods during the first episode drop of Love is Blind season seven, released on October 2. However, after an awkward reveal, producers chose not to select them as one of the couples travelling to Mexico, and they decided to take their own trip to Miami instead.

Now, Brittany and Leo are both revealing what happened on that trip that ultimately led to their breakup. Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Brittany described their breakup as “super mutual”. She said that they had a blast at the beginning of the trip, however reality begin to set in as they realized they were better off as friends. Brittany said “there wasn’t anything major that happened”, but that she did get a little cranky and homesick, which she later apologized for. For his part, Leo described that “we were just on a high”, but that they realized they could not see a marriage happening. Brittany also mentioned that they rode scooters and crashed into a cactus, causing her to need to see a chiropractor when she got home.

Leo said that he was surprised they were not chosen for Mexico considering he was in a love triangle, but Brittany felt that they were “the weakest link”, and not surprised at all. While it would have been interesting to see the Leo/Nick/Hannah/Brittany dynamic play out at the couples meetup, the lack of chemistry between Brittany and Leo could have made for an awkward storyline, and also made the intentions of the show appear to be insincere. Something tells us that it won’t be the last we see of Brittany or Leo in the reality tv space.
