Kristin Cavallari was the one to initiate breakup with Mark Estes

Cavallari took to her podcast “Let’s Be Honest” today for an emotional explanation of why she decided to breakup with boyfriend Mark Estes. Ultimately, it came down to the age factor. She said, “I just know longterm, he needs to experience life… I started to feel the age a little bit, just with life experience.” There is a thirteen year age gap between the two, with Estes being only 24, and Cavallari felt he needs to enjoy these years the way she did.

Speaking about Estes, it was clear how much love and admiration she still has for him. She said the relationship was probably the best relationship of her life, calling it “very healthy, and very mature and nothing but sweet and loving.” Breaking into tears she said he is such a good guy and will make someone so happy one day, and have a beautiful family of his own with “multiple kids.” She feels like he will look back one day and understand, and even thank her.

She says she doesn’t regret going public with him or introducing him to her children. She said she will forever look back at their time together with pure happiness and good memories, and that they are currently trying to be friends. He is someone she would really “love to have in her life in some capacity”, and she is “excited to see what happens for him”, as he has the whole world ahead of him. Sounds like an extremely healthy and mature breakup and we wish them both the best moving forward!

As for her love life going forward, Cavallari says her custody schedule has changed and she doesn’t have as much time for dating as she used to. She’s content just being with her kids and focusing on work for the near future.
