All But Two Cast Members Of The Ultimatum Season 3 Will Be Attending The Reunion
The first five episodes of The Ultimatum season three dropped on Netflix on December 4, and viewers watched as four cast members shockingly decided to disappear from the show in the middle of the night. The two couples left their “trial marriage” partners hanging, and the fallout that ensued was difficult to watch. Vanessa and Dave, and Micah and Chanel all decided that they “weren’t sure the experiment was for them”, according to show creator Chris Coelen, who gave this interview to Variety about the departure of the two couples.
The article also discusses how there is “no way” to enforce filming on the show, however previous cast members of Love Is Blind (run by the same production company as The Ultimatum) have come forward to say that there was a $50,000.00 fine if they left production early. Coelen has insisted in previous interviews that the fine was never enforced, and has since been removed. In the Variety article, Coelen states regarding The Ultimatum that “they’re adults. We don’t put restrictions on what they do. But the expectation from the other participants is, “We’re going to be in trial marriages. Let’s actually do that, and not go hang out with our original partner.”
The article also states that one of the couples that left, Vanessa and Dave, will in fact be attending the reunion, and that the other, Micah and Chanel, will not. Coelen says that everyone is always invited to attend the reunion regardless if they finish the experiment or not. The finale and reunion episodes drop December 18th on Netflix.
